Today the nursery children visited the bug room. We observed the giant African land snail, hissing cockroaches, the gecko, a pond terrapin and we also had a peak at the snakes who were hiding in their rocks. The children also had the opportunity to get up close to Spike the bearded dragon, he was a favorite among us all. The children thought he felt "dry", "hard" and "spikey".
Tomorrow we will be looking back at the animals we saw and will be attempting to draw our favorite one.
