Goldilocks and the three Bears

The children have really enjoyed exploring the story Goldilocks and the three bears. They used this traditional tale to focus on their learning. We enjoyed listening to the story and were able to join in refrains and talk about what was going to happen next. The children visited the village to find numerals in the environment, recognizing the numbers and some children were able to say the number that is one more than a given number. Back in the classroom the children had fun using their imaginations, when in the role play area they were acting out parts of the story and using a range of language. We also had fun making real, tasty porridge and having a taste "mmm yum yum". We then used fruit and vegetables to create Goldilocks face and looking closely at how the vegetables were cut we had a go at naming the shapes they were into. We are such super stars in Nursery and I am super proud of you all!
