We have had SO much fun in year 3 this week, as we have been learning all about the Roman Empire and how they conquered most of Britain.
On Wednesday, we enjoyed investigating Roman soldier artefacts and we tried on some authentic Roman armour. We realised just how difficult it would have been to fight in the the Roman Army. After, we put our research skills to the test and found advantages and disadvantages of wearing the uniform.
Yesterday, we acted as Roman soldiers and applied our historical knowledge to writing a diary entry from a soldier's perspective. We have had some fantastic and imaginative writing!
