Y3 Ancient Egyptian day!

Y3 had lots of fun during their Ancient Egyptian themed day! They started with exploring the pyramids, a temple, a Sphinx and an Ancient Egyptian coffin on the VR headsets. Then they learnt all about the process of mummification and embalmed some tomatoes, learnt all about hieroglyphics and wrote some secret messages and then did an archaeological dig! They uncovered different artefacts and discussed what they thought they were. An outside company came in to put on an immersive, interactive play for the children called the curse of the mummy.
